September 29, 2024 Bulletin Announcement

Soup Supper:  This is the last reminder to sign-up for the Fall Soup Supper.  Please check the sign-up poster for what is still needed.  Men please consider helping as there can be some heavy lifting.  If you are bringing soup before noon on Wednesday, please place in the fridge.  If  you bring after noon, please bring soup warm.  Hamburger should be at in the church kitchen by late Monday, as we make the BBQ on Tuesday.  All soups and desserts need to be at church by 3:00 p.m.  The committee greatly appreciates your willingness to donate and work.

Midweek Volunteers Needed:  We are in need of 2 men or women volunteers to help teach during Midweek (Wednesday evenings) from 7:00-7:30pm for 3rd/4th or 5th grade. Because of the large class sizes, we need to split the groups, and we need additional help. The teaching position is shared, so you're not committed every week, and the curriculum is very simple and easy to teach. If you're able to help out, please talk to Caty Arp.

Midweek Parents:  Midweek is in full swing, and we appreciate your help in reminding your children to behave respectfully during this time. It's important to take care of our church building and be considerate of others. If your child is waiting for a sibling to finish with Youth Group, remind your child to wait quietly inside until the other grades finish. Your support in this helps ensure a positive and respectful environment for everyone!

Communion Offering:  Scott and Colleen are global workers through EPC World Outreach and a sending agency called Serge. In 2019, they left the small town of Little Rock, IA, for the big city of London. God’s call to them was to reach out to a population of Southeast Asian Muslims in East London with the gospel and hopes of planting a church.

To accomplish this aim, they have been a part of a team that does the following:

* Weekly, bi-lingual worship service on Sunday afternoons for the past three years

* Public outreach: street evangelism, door knocking, cricket club, Muslim/Christian discussion groups, after-school and school lunch clubs, and neighbor visiting

* Mercy ministries: emergency food and material help, Men’s and Women’s English classes, medical advice and guidance, informal fellowship, assistance with governmental paperwork, and a Christian bookshop

Together in the Word:  Looking for a way to grow deeper in your faith? Our new Together in the Word devotional is designed to help you engage with Scripture. Sign up today to receive your copy of this 8-session study through 1 John. Whether you’re studying alone or with a friend, this book will guide you in reflecting on God’s Word. Sign up at the Welcome Desk or online at intheword.efrc.me.
