Devotions: Transformed by the Spirit

Day 1:

Bible Reading: Romans 8:28-30

Devotional: Today, we dive into the doctrine of predestination. Reflect on how God knew you before the foundations of the world and chose you for His glory. Recognize that God's grace is so powerful that it transforms our hearts and minds, drawing us to Him irresistibly. Pray for a deeper understanding of this divine election and its implications for your life.

Question: How does understanding God’s predestination impact your view of His grace?

Day 2:

Bible Reading: Isaiah 55:3

Devotional: God invites us to incline our ears to Him, to hear His word of life. He establishes a covenant with His people out of His steadfast love. Reflect on the covenantal love of God today. Consider the ways in which God has been faithful to you, even when you were unfaithful to Him. Thank God for His unwavering commitment to His covenant with His people.

Question: How have you experienced God's covenant-keeping love in your life?

Day 3:

Bible Reading: Romans 8:31-34

Devotional: Today, reflect on the security of our salvation in Christ. If God is for us, who can be against us? Ponder the depth of God's love, displayed in the sacrifice of His Son. Thank God for being both our Judge and our Advocate, giving us confidence in our salvation.

Question: How does knowing Christ as your Advocate strengthen your faith?

Day 4:

Bible Reading: Romans 8:35-39

Devotional: Reflect on the unfailing love of God. Nothing can separate us from His love – not hardship, persecution, or any other thing in creation. This is the irresistible grace of God at work, keeping us secure in His love. Ask God to deepen your understanding and appreciation of His unyielding love.

Question: How does the knowledge of God's unfailing love provide you comfort in challenging times?

Day 5:

Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 11:23-26

Devotional: As we partake in the Lord's Supper, we remember Christ's sacrifice for us. His body was broken and His blood was shed so that we might receive grace. Reflect on this profound demonstration of God's love and grace. Ask God to help you live in a way that honors His sacrifice.

Question: How does partaking in the Lord's Supper help you understand and appreciate God's irresistible grace?
