Devotions: In His Presence

Day 1: The Nature of God as Our Refuge

Scripture Reading: Psalm 46:1-3

Reflection: Consider how God being our refuge and strength offers immediate help in times of trouble, reflecting on the serene confidence this should instill in us, regardless of life’s upheavals.

Prayer: Lord, help me to feel the security of Your presence today. Teach me to rely on You as my refuge, especially when I feel overwhelmed by the challenges around me.

Day 2: God's Everlasting Joy Compared to Earthly Pleasures

Scripture Reading: Ecclesiastes 2:10-11

Reflection: Reflect on the emptiness of earthly pleasures compared to the everlasting joy found in God. How does this perspective change your pursuit of happiness?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, guide me to seek joy not in the perishable things of this world but in Your eternal presence. Remind me that true happiness comes only from You.

Prayer: Father, align my heart and mind with Your eternal kingdom. Help me to prioritize my life in a way that honors You and reflects the values of Your kingdom.

Day 5: Sharing the Promise of Eternal Joy

Reflection: Consider how you can gently and respectfully share the hope that you have in Christ with others, especially those who are struggling.

Prayer: Lord, give me opportunities to share the joy and hope I have in You. Equip me with gentleness and respect as I speak about my faith.
